Choosing the right skip is important, and at Dunmow Waste we want to ensure you hire the right skip size for your project. We can offer same day/next day delivery across the whole of Essex ranging from 2-16 yard skips and 20-40 yard RORO’s. We have put together an easy guide, with bin bag equivalents and measurements to help you choose the right skip.

4 Yard ‘Midi’ Skip

We offer a ‘4-yard midi skip’ which is an ideal size for kitchen and bathroom refits as well as garden clearances. A 4-yard skip holds 30-40 bin bags full of waste and can be placed on off-road gardens, public roads or home driveways.

(Height: 3ft – Length: 8ft 3 – Width: 5ft 3)

6 Yard ‘Small Builders’ Skip

Our ‘6-yard small builders skip’ holds heavier waste such as breeze block hardcore, brick rubble or loose soil and stone material. Our 6-yard skips are popular for medium-sized home projects as they hold 50-60 bags full of waste but also are frequently used on building sites. This is the largest size skip that the council allows to be placed on a public road.

8 Yard ‘Large Builders’ Skip

For larger projects, our ‘8-yard large builders skip’ is one of the most popular sizes that we stock here at Dunmow Waste Management holding 60-80 bags full of waste perfect for domestic or commercial customers. Our 8 yard can be filled with heavier builders rubble and is an ideal size for larger house DIY projects.

12 Yard ‘Maxi’ Skip

Our ’12-yard maxi skip’ is ideal for larger jobs with bulky waste such as furniture, window frames, kitchen worktops or metals. These skips are very popular with shop fitters, manufacturing and construction sites holding roughly 100-120 bags full of waste or maximum 5 Tonne.

14 Yard ‘Maxi’ Skip

16 Yard ‘Maxi’ Skip

40 Yard Roll-On-Roll-Off Skip

The largest size RORO we offer here at Dunmow Waste Management is a 40-yarder. This is the same length and width as our 20-yard but they are double in height making it suitable for big clearance, demolition jobs and all bulky waste.
